Corporate & Commercial:

The firm has a substantial corporate and commercial practice advising clients on the full range of business matters, including; mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, stock exchange transactions, corporate governance, group restructurings, raising finance, exit strategies, shareholders’ agreements and general contractual matters. The firm has particular experience of the AIM market, having acted for a number of companies on their AIM flotations, and subsequent large private institutional placings with Dublin and London investment houses. Employment & Health & Safety:

The employment, pensions and immigration team advises on all aspects of employment law including; preparation and review of employment contracts, handbooks and policy statements; equality legislation, discrimination and sexual harassment and related policy statements; senior executive contract negotiation and severance; representing clients in litigation concerning termination of employment before both the Workplace Relations Commission and the High Court. It is the department’s practice to keep clients updated in respect of significant developments in this important area, whether that is with regard to new legislation or recent case law.

Whitney Moore is recognised as one of the leading intellectual property law firms in Ireland. It is involved in both contentious and non-contentious matters. The department has extensive experience in all aspects of IP and has specialist expertise dealing with copyright, trademark, patent issues, protection of confidential information and related intellectual property matters. Energy & Natural Resources:

Natural resource companies have been clients of Whitney Moore for over 60 years. The firm has advised on the flotation of Irish exploration and mining companies on the Irish and London Stock Exchanges and on AIM. Whitney Moore also advises on prospecting licences, mining licences, joint ventures, structured mine finance, drilling contracts, and joint operating agreements. The firm has also advised on windfarm projects in Ireland and Northern Europe which involved advice on operation and maintenance agreements, partnership agreements and government contracts. The renewable energy and natural resources team has substantial experience advising on rights issues, private placings and other fundraisings for resource companies both on the Irish Stock Exchange and AIM as well as advising on structured finance and banking for windfarm projects.
