THE CHAMBERS
Westwater Advocates is one of Scotland’s longest established and largest multi-disciplinary stables, with 35 advocate members including eight silks. Sheila Westwater has been the clerk since 1991 and is assisted by Christina Ballantyne, Jane Morrison and Debbie Dawson. The clerks provide excellent service, advising on the availability and suitability of advocates for particular work and always willing to agree fees in advance.
WORK UNDERTAKEN
At all levels of seniority, the stable offers advocates whose experience includes commercial, contract, construction (including adjudication), insolvency, financial provision on divorce, co-habitation and all aspects of public and private child law, employment and disciplinary matters, personal injury, professional (including medical) negligence, mental health, health and safety, agricultural, land, property, trusts and executry, pensions, media, data protection, judicial review and licensing.
