Power of Attorney Litigation:
We regularly act in contentious Power of Attorney Litigation matters for individuals incapable of managing their affairs and for their family members, friends or appointed Attorneys for Property or Personal Care. We are often involved in all stages of guardianship proceedings and matters under theSubstitute Decisions Act.
Passings of Accounts:
Passings of Accounts are complex proceedings by which a Court conducts an audit of a fiduciary's accounts. We have experience as litigation counsel during all stages of contested and uncontested Passings of Accounts, whether acting for beneficiaries or fiduciaries.
Appellate Advocacy:
Our lawyers have acted as lead counsel in all levels of Court in Ontario and Newfoundland and Labrador, and in particular, we have acted as counsel in precedent setting cases regarding probate and undue influence.
Civil Litigation:
