International Arbitration & Construction Disputes:
Beale & Co is recognised as one of the key players in the international construction disputes market. The firm acts for both claimant and defendant clients in complex, high value international arbitrations (including related ancillary proceedings), both institutional and ad hoc, including under the DIAC, ADCCAC, ICC, LCIA, AAA, SIAC, CRCICA, UNCITRAL and ICSID rules, expert determinations, mediations and international litigation. Beale & Co represents its developer and contractor clients in a wide range of construction disputes, particularly those involving delay, extensions of time, loss and/or expense (including prolongation and disruption costs), variations, suspension and termination, defective design and payment. Since opening its Dubai office, Beale & Co has acted for the region’s leading developers and contractors in relation to some of the world’s most iconic projects including Metro 2020 and Cayan Tower in Dubai and Abu Dhabi International Airport.

Construction:
The firm advises on all non-contentious issues which may arise on construction, power and infrastructure projects including contract formation on both standard forms and bespoke contracts; tendering and procurement routes; challenges of procurement awards; joint venture agreements and purchase agreements. The team acts for clients on transactions procured by both traditional methods and increasingly using innovative methods such as partnering and alliancing. The team also advises on project/contractual issues during project delivery, including variations, interim payment and final account applications.
