Other notable areas of work include sukuk issuances and the formation of Sharia-compliant investment funds. Ranked law firms may also advise on regulatory matters underpinning the use of Sharia products. Note that legal work relating to Islamic insurance products (takaful) is given greater credit in insurance sections than Islamic finance. For Middle East-Wide sections, the location of an individual lawyer or team is not a primary concern, though their work should either be for Middle East-based clients or else relate to the region in a clearly demonstrable way.
