Career
Mr. Song Zhengping, qualified in 1995. He has both Chinese and Western legal background. He obtained first law degree from China University of Political Science and Law in 1993 and the master degree from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand in 2002. He was sent by the Ministry of Justice to participate in one-year Lord Chancellor’s Training Scheme in London. He was a foreign exchange lawyer of Eversheds LLP (London office), Essex Court Chambers (London) and Johnson Stokes & Master (Hong Kong) under that training scheme. He was selected by Jiangsu Provincial Government in 2007 to participate in a 3-month international trade law training scheme in the University of Maryland, the United States. In 2013, he was listed by All China Lawyers Association (ACLA) as “China’s Leading Lawyer in Foreign-related Matters”. He was sent by ACLA to participate in a 2-month training scheme in the University of Hamburg and Clifford Chance Munich Office. His successful cases can be seen in the Gazette of the Supreme People's Court of China, the Classic International Cases Collection of All China Lawyers Association. He was also the winner of Top 10 International Business Lawyers of Jiangsu Province, and the winner of Top 10 International Business Cases of Jiangsu Province. His excellence in the legal practice was highly regarded by the legal circle, and he was the President of Wuxi Bar Association (2012-2020), and the Vice President of the Lawyers Association of Jiangsu Province (2013-2023).
