Career
Yann Aguila, Partner at Bredin Prat, heads the firm’s Public Law practice.
He advises on all aspects of public business law and environmental law in relation to both transactional and litigation matters. He assists public sector and private companies in their relations with the French public authorities.
He lectures on public law and environmental law at Sciences Po and at the Paris Bar School.
Prior to joining Bredin Prat in 2011, Yann Aguila had been a member of the French supreme administrative court, the Conseil d’Etat, since 1990, including as a judge in the Litigation Division (2009-2011) and prior to that as Deputy Secretary-General (2001-2004) and as Commissaire du Gouvernement (independent judge giving an impartial opinion on all cases before the Conseil d'Etat) (2004-2009). He also acted as legal adviser to the President of the Republic of Senegal (1995-2001).

He is a member of the legal think-tank, the Club des Juristes, where he chairs the Environmental Law Commission.
