Career
William heads the Banking and Finance practice at AF Mpanga. He has over 20 years’ post-qualification experience in banking and finance law and practice. He has advised on numerous transactions in project finance, banking and finance, banking regulation, syndicated lending, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and general corporate advisory work. In addition to his advisory work, he has led several high-value banking disputes for major banking clients with a strong record of success. He is also a licensed insolvency practitioner with experience in restructurings, reorganisations, liquidations, asset disposals, recoveries, and insolvency matters.
William has significant experience in law firm Management having served as the managing partner of the firm for nine years until 2019 where he oversaw a tremendous growth in the business success of the firm. He has leadership experience in corporate governance having served as board secretary and director on a number of boards in the financial sector and currently as chairman of the board of a regulated institution in the financial sector.
