Wenwen Zeng is a partner in our Corporate/M&A department. She focuses on Entertainment & Media, and Cybersecurity and Data Innovation practice.
Ms. Zeng offers strategic and innovative legal advice that is crucial for helping clients navigate the ever-evolving legal landscape of cybersecurity and data protection. She advises on the privacy and cybersecurity aspects for a broad range of key areas, including: medical and healthcare, banking and finance, smart vehicles, ride-hailing and logistics, education and training, consumables, entertainment, Cloud Services, IDC, AI, blockchain, and the synergy in TMT industries. She assists clients in structuring comprehensive data compliance programs, including: data compliance in IPO and M&A transactions, cross-border data transfer, business model and data product compliance, third-party vendors and suppliers data compliance, internal control system, security incident response, etc.
Ms. Zeng’s advises studios, media companies, production companies, investors and financiers, investment funds, and talents - on a full spectrum of legal issues in entertainment sectors, primarily on legal matters including: development, investment and financing, production and distribution of film and television, games and animation projects; IP protection, content licensing and rights acquisition; international co-productions; project financing, M&A and funds establishment in entertainment industry; tourism, performing arts and other sectors.
Ms. Zeng was formerly an independent film producer, scriptwriter and novelist. Her productions have been screened in over 70 international film festivals and won international acclaim. She was selected as one of 20 emerging film producers from 15 ASEM countries in 2008. As a scriptwriter, she was selected into Screenwriters’ Lab of Sundance Institute, USA.
