Wendy Marte is the founding partner of Wendy Marte Abogados and heads the firm's Corporate & Commercial, Tourism and Environmental practice groups. With more than 25 years of experience, she advises local and international clients on corporate, real estate, tourism, foreign investment and administrative law matters.

She is widely recognised for her extensive experience in the tourism and hospitality sector, particularly in the implementation of Tourism Promotion Law No. 158-01 (CONFOTUR) and the regulatory framework governing tourism developments in the Dominican Republic. Wendy regularly advises investors and developers on obtaining tourism incentives, permits and licences, as well as the legal structuring of complex tourism and real estate projects.

Her practice also encompasses project finance, secured transactions, corporate restructurings, foreign investment, urban planning, construction, environmental and energy permitting, condominium regimes and land matters. She has advised on numerous high-value tourism developments, including the registered urbanisation of one of the country's most complex tourism projects, and is particularly recognised for her expertise in complex land title analysis and the legal structuring of large-scale developments.

Prior to founding Wendy Marte Abogados, Wendy was a founding partner of Marte Guzmán Castillo between 2010 and 2018. Earlier in her career, she held senior legal positions at Cap Cana, serving as Legal Manager of the Land Department and Interim Director of the Permitting Department. She also spent more than eight years at Pellerano & Herrera, where she held key roles in the firm's land, banking, secured transactions and contracts practices.
