Victoria Charlotte Dean is a Co-Managing Partner at AMW & Co. Legal Practitioners with over 20 years of experience advising local and international clients on banking and finance, mergers and acquisitions, mining and energy, environmental law, corporate advisory, land rights and employment matters. She is an Advocate of the Superior Courts of Zambia, a Notary Public, and holds an LLM in Environmental and Economic Law and an LLB from the University of London.
Victoria has extensive experience advising on complex corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, power purchase agreements and major development projects across the telecommunications, hospitality, retail and energy sectors. In 2018, she was appointed Deputy Chairperson of the Lands Tribunal, where she adjudicated land disputes throughout Zambia.
She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (London Branch), a qualified mediator, and has served as Honorary Legal Adviser to the British High Commission in Zambia since 2007. Victoria also serves on the boards of financial institutions, hospitality businesses, retail developments and not-for-profit organisations.
Her areas of expertise include mergers and acquisitions, corporate and commercial law, banking and finance, corporate restructuring, conveyancing, energy and environmental law, arbitration and mediation, mining and metals, taxation, competition law and agriculture.
