Timothy is the Managing Partner and also heads the firm’s Litigation Team. His practice focuses mainly on commercial, tax and civil litigation, as well as arbitration.

Timothy is a leading litigator in Uganda, handling several groundbreaking cases in the banking sector in Uganda. He recently acted successfully for Samsung Electronics (EA) Ltd in a tax dispute against Uganda Revenue Authority in which he challenged a Value Added Tax assessment for services provided by the Samsung Ugandan branch to its head office in Kenya.

He is consistently ranked as a Band 1 commercial lawyer by Chambers Global and other leading international directories. He is an external lead counsel for the Bank of Uganda and has indeed been at the center of the reconstruction and improvement of Uganda’s banking sector.

Timothy is a qualified Barrister-at-law, and a Member of the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple, United Kingdom. He holds an LLB (Hons) degree from the University of London and was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1992. Timothy also holds a Diploma in Legal Practice of the Law Development Centre in Uganda and was recently granted a special license to appear in the courts of Tanzania.
