In regulatory work, Thomas focuses on healthcare, professional discipline and FCA regulatory proceedings, and has significant experience in serious police disciplinary cases. His public law practice includes some of the most prominent inquests and inquiries of recent years, acting for families and interested persons in highly sensitive and complex proceedings, including the Westminster Bridge Inquest and cases concerning the deaths of servicemen deployed to Afghanistan. Thomas also draws on his background as a former British Army officer, having served with the Parachute Regiment on active deployment in Afghanistan.
