Career

Thales Stucky joined Trench Rossi Watanabe in 2004 and became partner in 2015. He integrates the Tax Planning & Controversies practice group, with focus on tax litigation, as well as tax consulting in general for Brazilian and foreign companies, as well individuals. In terms of industries, Thales has special focus and experience in the tax issues related to the automotive and IT industries.

He worked in the Chicago office of Baker McKenzie as foreign associate, occasion in which Thales was involved in a series of projects assisting US companies investing in Brazil. In addition to his activities with the firm, he is also a guest lecturer in several Tax Specialization Courses in the south of Brazil, as well as maintain a weekly column on tax issues at Jota.info.

He holds a JD from PUC/RS, a Specialist in Tax title from IBET and a LL.M in International Taxation from New York University (Wallace Scholarship).
