Tara Cooper Burnside KC

Tara Cooper Burnside, KC has detailed knowledge of the Bahamian insolvency regime and is regularly retained to advise insolvency practitioners having worked on a number of cross-border insolvencies and restructurings. She also specialises in commercial disputes, including shareholder disputes and contentious and non-contentious employment matters, involving both individual and collective rights. Her dispute resolution practice covers civil and commercial litigation, including banking and trust litigation, insolvency and fraud cases, shareholder disputes and employment litigation.

Called to the Bahamas Bar Association in 2001; Joined the firm as an Associate in 2005 becoming a partner in 2010. Earned the KC designation in 2023.
