Szwina has particular interest and experience in representing adults and children in birth injury, catastrophic brain injury, and spinal injury cases arising from negligent obstetric or surgical care, delayed diagnosis or treatment. She also advises and represents claimants and families on their complaints, disciplinary hearings, and investigations against healthcare providers and at Coroner’s Inquests.
Outside of medico-legal work, Szwina handles cases on behalf of claimants, many of whom have been seriously injured or have died, involving accidents ranging from individual accidents to catastrophic accidents that have injured or claimed the lives of many. She also specializes in mental health issues and provides advice and representation on the proper administration and protection of the affairs of the vulnerable.
Szwina is a member of the Personal Injuries Committee and the Mental Health Committee of the Law Society of Hong Kong and the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) in the UK. She is also a CEDR Accredited Mediator and an Accredited General Mediator of the Law Society of Hong Kong.
