Career
Stuart became a partner in December 2013 and is head of the Family and Matrimonial department. He has specialised in this area of law since qualification in 1993, is an accredited member of the Law Society Family Law Scheme and is an All Issues Mediator, trained by Resolution.
Advising on all aspects of relationship breakdown, including marriage and civil partnerships, he has extensive experience in cases concerning divorce, financial remedies in divorce, separation, property disputes (whether solely or jointly owned) under the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996 (TLATA), disputes concerning children, including Child Arrangement Orders (living with and spending time with), specific issue / prohibited steps, injunctive relief (domestic abuse and financial proceedings), and advising un-married parents in Financial Provision (Children Act 1989) claims.
Stuart also advises on asset protection including Pre and Post Nuptial Agreements and Cohabitation / Living Together agreements.
