Steven Akerman is a Director at Brian Barr Solicitors. A specialist solicitor, Steven deals uniquely with chronic pain litigation, as well as negligence claims involving everything from fibromyalgia and CRPS to functional neurological disorder (FND), spinal injuries and brain injuries.
Steven obtained his Law Degree in 2008 from the University of Manchester and completed his Legal Practice Course in 2009 at BPP Manchester. Steven then spent two years as a Costs Draftsman before joining Brian Barr Solicitors in 2011 and qualifying in 2013.
Originally from New York, Steven made the leap across the pond to Manchester in 2003. When he's not immersed in the world of law, he cherishes moments spent with his family and with his passion for religious studies.
