Stacy represents corporate policyholders in obtaining recovery of insurance proceeds for liabilities and losses concerning all first and third-party policies. She has assisted insureds in identifying and analyzing historical coverage, counseled clients in coverage disputes against carriers and brokers, risk and litigation management, and policy interpretation/renewals. She also advises clients on strategies to resolve complex corporate, real estate, construction contract, and business tort matters. She represents clients in state and federal courts, including in negotiations, mediations, arbitrations and other forms of dispute. Stacy has also:
•Represented clients in obtaining defense and indemnification for past and future asbestos, silica and chemical exposure liabilities in excess of $100 million
•Successfully negotiated and monitored cost-sharing arrangements with insurers
•Pursued indemnification and/or contribution claims on behalf of companies against whom tort or other claims have been asserted
•Represented captive insurers against breach of contract and bad faith claims
•Successfully litigated against insurance carriers who wrongfully deny coverage
Stacy is certified as a Specialist in Insurance Coverage Law by the Ohio State Bar Association.
