Practice Areas
Sophie has a wide employment and discrimination practice which covers complex claims of workplace discrimination, including equal pay, as well as claims dealing with discrimination in the provision of goods and services. Her general employment experience covers whistleblowing, TUPE, and restrictive covenant claims. Her client base includes national and local public sector bodies, educational bodies, large corporate organisations and charities, as well as individual claimants.

She has carried out such investigations for local authorities, academy trusts and charities. Her clients welcome her comprehensive reports, balanced findings and helpful recommendations.
Her practice is strengthened by her knowledge of corporate governance, education law and charity law. She is an experienced EAT advocate, recently appearing in an appeal dealing with remedy and stigma, and another dealing with the contractual status of a policy on sick pay.
