With approximately 30 years’ experience Simon is one of the region’s key family law players. He is highly commended for his expertise in complex children disputes, as well as high value financial matters. He is recognised for his outstanding contribution to the development of children law and practice. Simon qualified as one of the first child law arbitrators in the country and remains one of the only qualified children dispute arbitrators in Cambridge.
Simon spent 10 years at a niche equine practice, where he latterly headed up their family law team. He then moved to Mills & Reeve, where he worked as a senior associate for five years, before joining CFLP as a partner in 2011.
Simon is a member of Resolution. He became a member of IFLA following his qualification as an arbitrator in 2016. He was formerly the Chair of Cambridge Family Dispute Resolution Group, as well as being a former Chair and member of Resolution's Children Committee until 2023.
Simon has had work published by both Resolution and the Family Law Journal.
Simon's personal life enables him to understand both the benefits and challenges of blended families. He has also experienced the step-child/ step-parent relationship from all sides.
