Shauna Ritchie is a leading specialist advocate in serious crime and health and safety. Shortlisted for Chambers UK Bar Health and Safety Junior of the Year in 2018 and 2022, and Crime Junior of the Year in 2023. Shauna regularly appears in very high profile, serious, and complex cases in both fields.
Health & Safety – Shauna has particular experience in dealing with Gross Negligence and Corporate Manslaughter offences, and cases concerning work at height, hazardous substances, gas, and fire safety. She has experience representing large corporate clients in the healthcare, leisure, and construction industries and is appointed to the List of Specialist Regulatory Advocates in Health and Safety and Environmental Law.
Crime – Shauna is a specialist in cases concerning serious sexual and violent offences and dealing with young and vulnerable witnesses and defendants. She is a Grade 4 CPS and Rape Panel Advocate, and her practice encompasses the full spectrum of criminal offences including murder, rape, fraud, and drug offences.
