Sergey is a partner at Aequo. He is a competition law specialist and has focused on this area of law all of his career.
A key member of our group, Sergey leads on most of the firm’s antitrust and competition law projects, covering all competition issues, including those related to merger clearance, unfair commercial practices, and competition compliance.
He has extensive experience in representing the clients in competition investigations initiated by the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine, cartel investigations, and market inquiries.
Key clients include Arcelor Mittal, the world's leading integrated steel and mining company; Ardagh Group, a NYSE-listed global leader in packaging solutions; and one of the country’s leading private equity firms, Dragon Capital, Mobile TeleSystems (MTS), the leading telecommunications group in Russia and the CIS.
Sergey has a diploma in EU/competition law from King's College, London, and has also been the only Ukrainian lawyer involved in an EU-sponsored project to establish an effective system for monitoring state aid in Ukraine.
