Sebastián is recognised for his expertise at the intersection of environmental litigation, regulatory compliance, and evidentiary reasoning. He began his career at Chile’s Superintendencia del Medio Ambiente (SMA), gaining experience in enforcement, oversight, and compliance strategy.

In private practice, he has built a strong reputation representing clients in high-profile disputes before regulators and courts, particularly in cases requiring advanced scientific evidence analysis.

He holds an LLM in Law and Technology from Tilburg University (Netherlands), focused on governance of technology and data-driven methodologies. He also earned a Master’s in Proof and Evidence from the University of Girona (Spain), the leading academic centre in evidentiary reasoning. These studies provide unique expertise in assessing evidence and legal argumentation, reinforcing his role in litigation involving monitoring, impact assessments, and regulatory disputes, especially where environmental uncertainty and risk assessment are decisive.
