Scott R. Sleight

Scott Sleight is a partner with AHLERS CRESSMAN & SLEIGHT PLLC and has practiced construction law for over twenty-nine years. His practice includes representation of contractors and owners at the front end, during and at project conclusion. This includes providing advice for development and construction of office towers, data centers, heavy civil construction, health care facilities, production facilities, schools and mixed-use commercial projects in the United States and Canada.

Mr. Sleight is experienced in alternative contracting methods including utilizing integrated contracts for lean construction and design-build delivery. Inevitably, disputes arise and Mr. Sleight assists owners and contractors with prosecution and defense of claims and high stakes litigation and state and federal bid protests. Mr. Sleight has litigated construction disputes in state courts, Federal District Court for the Western and Eastern Districts of Washington, the Court of Appeals and the United States Court of Federal Claims and conducted complex jury trials and many arbitrations. Mr. Sleight’s experience extends to insurance coverage matters, including obtaining coverage for builder’s risk claims, for policyholders and monitoring insurance-appointed defense counsel.
