Sara Reid

Sara Reid is the founder and principal of REID Legal, a boutique law firm trusted by institutional and private clients for sophisticated real estate transactions and complex commercial leasing. After more than a decade at top-tier national firms, she launched REID Legal to provide highly specialized advice with a pragmatic and results-driven approach.

Recognized as one of Quebec’s leading real estate lawyers, Sara is known for her strategic insight, sound legal judgment, and ability to resolve complex legal and commercial issues with efficiency. Her clients include major corporations, institutional investors, real estate funds, developers, and private asset managers.

Sara Reid began her career as an associate in the Real Estate group at Heenan Blaikie, later moving to Dentons where she continued to develop her leasing and transactional expertise. Sara then joined Fasken, one of Canada’s largest law firms, where she was eventually promoted to partner in the Commercial Real Estate group. At Fasken, she acted for institutional landlords, REITs, and asset managers on major leasing portfolios and significant acquisitions and dispositions.

In 2024, she founded REID Legal, a boutique law firm dedicated exclusively to commercial real estate. As principal of the firm, she draws on this breadth of experience to advise institutional and private clients on complex leasing and real estate transactions.
