Santiago Pereira Campos

Founding partner of RUEDA ABADI PEREIRA law firm, where he has headed the Litigation and Arbitration Practice since 1992.

Practiced as Legal counsel in Procedural Law in several nations and international judicial and arbitration proceedings, and as international counsel in procedural reform for various Latin American countries.

Since 2000 to date, he is Executive Secretary of CONARP (National Advertising Self-Regulation Council), a self-regulatory arbitration body in Uruguay.

He participated in several international arbitration processes, his participation as an expert in the arbitration initiated by Philip Morris against Uruguay before the ICSID being of particular importance. He also participated as an expert in the international arbitration initiated by Italba against Uruguay before ICSID, in the matter of telecommunications and the international arbitration initiated before the Permanent Court of Arbitration on a mining matter (Aratirí).

Authored or co-authored twenty-five books and more than two hundred articles and research paper published in Germany, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Chile, Ecuador, Spain, Guatemala, Italy, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Perú, Turkey, Uruguay and Venezuela.
