Mr. Teplitzky is a shareholder who represents large hospitals and health systems, various health care entities and delivery networks in federal/state investigations and with respect to a variety of fraud and abuse issues, including internal investigations, diligence reviews, compliance effectiveness reviews, and voluntary disclosures. He has also served as a CIA Compliance Expert. Mr. Teplitzky advises medical professional and trade associations, negotiates with state and federal authorities, and provides counsel with respect to a broad range of regulatory and legislative issues facing health care clients.
Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Teplitzky served as an attorney for the Office of the General Counsel of the Department of Health, Education and Welfare (now DHHS).
Mr. Teplitzky is a member of the Maryland, Illinois and American Bar Associations. He is also a member of the American Health Lawyers Association and served as president from 1993-1994 and on the board from 1986-1995 and received the AHLA's David J. Greenburg Service Award in 2008. He is a Founding Fellow of the ALHA and is also a Fellow of the Maryland Bar Foundation.
