Sander has broad experience in complex deals and disputes right across the energy sector, advising on the full range of legal and regulatory issues, including production, distribution, storage and supply, as well as sustainable energy projects and infrastructure. He was involved in numerous energy M&A and (project) finance deals and also regularly advises on the structuring of wind, solar, geothermal and biomass projects, as well as energy and carbon emissions trading.
Sander is a seasoned energy lawyer and former energy group managing associate at top-tier law firm De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek in London and Amsterdam.
As sector specialist, he is a member of the Netherlands Emissions Trading Authority (NEA) market consultation group and contributor to several public-private ‘Green Deals’ between Ministries and market parties (including the Green Deal on the national carbon emissions trading scheme and the Green Deal on ultra-deep geothermal energy projects).
