Sam Silver, a Fellow of both the American College of Trial Lawyers and the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, is the rare lawyer who regularly handles serious criminal and civil cases.
Sam’s experience in criminal defense includes high profile matters ranging from white collar cases to homicide cases. His civil practice includes representing global manufacturers of products, and commercial disputes over business break-ups, civil fraud claims, and intellectual property. Sam’s practice also includes representing professional riders, trainers, and owners in the equestrian sport in all manner of disputes, including the defense of claims before disciplinary bodies.
Sam is committed to pro bono work. His accomplishments include successful sentencing-phase retrials of two separate death-condemned inmates before juries, both resulting in unanimous verdicts for the defense, as well as the exoneration by a jury of a man who served 25 years in prison for a crime he did not commit.
Sam is President of the Board of the Pennsylvania Innocence Project, and a member of the Board of the Pennsylvania Institutional Law Project. He is an adjunct faculty member of the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and a regular faculty member for the National Institute of Trial Advocacy.
