Sam is a commercial litigator, with a particular focus on financial and technology disputes. He has extensive experience acting for and against a variety of financial institutions, as well as software developers and crypto businesses. His crypto and blockchain experience includes acting for developers in the landmark Tulip Trading case, acting on both the customer and exchange side in crypto trading disputes, and acting for victims of fraud in asset tracing and recovery claims as well as against exchanges for breach of duty. Sam has also acted in disputes about crypto, blockchain and other fintech businesses, such as shareholder, M&A and consultancy disputes. Outside of crypto, Sam has deep experience in traditional financial services and banking disputes over all manner of financial products, and has also acted on software development and licensing claims.
