Mr. Hardin is the founder and leader of Rusty Hardin & Associates, LLP, a Houston-based firm that was launched in 1996 and continues to garner national recognition as a premiere law firm for both civil and significant criminal matters.
Mr. Hardin has represented and won favorable verdicts for a lengthy list of high-profile clients, including professional MLB pitcher Roger Clemens, TV evangelist Victoria Osteen, and NASA astronaut Anne McClain. Mr. Hardin also represented the accounting firm Arthur Andersen during the Enron scandal, a case that resulted in a unanimous U.S. Supreme Court opinion overturning the firm's obstruction of justice conviction.
In 2020, the Litigation Section of the State Bar of Texas inducted Mr. Hardin as its newest “Texas Legal Legend.” This honor places him alongside an elite group of top trial lawyers, all of whom are highly regarded for their craft and unwavering dedication to serving others. Mr. Hardin has also been recognized as a “Trial Ace” by Law360, a “Lion of the Texas Bar” by Texas Lawbook and received a “Lifetime Achievement” award from the ALM.com publication Texas Lawyer.
Prior to entering private practice, he served 15 years as a high-level prosecutor for the Harris County District Attorney’s office.
