Career
Rongcun graduated from Shanghai Maritime University with bachelor’s degree in international shipping management and Dalian Maritime University with master’s degree in maritime law. From 1994 to 2002, he was working for China Ocean Shipping Agency (PENAVICO) Shantou Co., Ltd. at the shipping department as department manager and corporate legal counsel. In 2002, he joined Wang Jing & Co. and was dispatched to Xiamen for the establishment of Xiamen Office. In July 2007, he was officially appointed as director of Xiamen Office of Wang Jing & Co.. In 2009, he was promoted as partner and in 2017, senior partner.
Rongcun mainly deals with legal affairs related to maritime & admiralty and insurance, including dispute over cargo carriage insurance, dispute over shipping insurance, dispute over shipbuilding, bill of lading, charterparty, cargo loss claims, ship collision, detention of vessel and cargo, maritime salvage and rescue, maritime personal casualty claims, dispute over seafarer service contract while having abundant experience in resolute of disputes over international trade and letter of credit. Rongcun has been providing professional legal service to famous international P&I Clubs (including Gard Club, Japan P&I Club, Skuld Club, London Club, Britannia, Steamship, West of England, Swedish Club, American P&I), domestic insurance companies (PICC, CPIC, Donghai Marine Insurance, Pingan Insurance), shipping companies, terminals, and large enterprises in Fujian and is professional in handling disputes over insurance, shipping, and international trade. In over ten years of practice, Rongcun has handled tens of thousands of cases, among which many were rather complicated and selected as model cases by relevant authorities.

While expanding his practices in law, Rongcun is also devoted to academic research and discussions of law.
