Roberto Casati practice focuses on securities, corporate, banking, EU and international business law.
He has extensive experience in Italian and cross-border public and private mergers and acquisitions as well as joint ventures. He is also quite active in international arbitrations, both as counsel and arbitrator. He has written and lectured extensively on EU and Italian law in the US, Europe, and the Far East.
In particular, Roberto Casati has been involved nearly in all major hostile takeovers in Italy, representing bidders (e.g., ABN in the Antonveneta takeover) and targets (e.g., RCS- Gruppo Cairo and UBI Banca – Intesa).
He represents some of the largest Italian listed companies and gives advice to management and the board of directors on strategic issues and corporate governance matters.
Roberto joined Linklaters in March 2018. With his previous firms, he has handled several of the largest Italian M&A and joint venture deals.
