Robert Lewis

Robert F. Lewis focuses his practice on the diverse legal needs of hospitality businesses the laws governing alcohol industry members at all three tiers, as well as tobacco and other regulated products. He has over 30 years of experience in the alcohol industry, including previously serving in law enforcement as a special agent with the State of Florida Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco.

Mr. Lewis works with foreign and domestic manufacturers, importers, wholesalers, and retail industry clients on alcohol licensing issues and structuring of alcohol service operations. His experience includes assisting businesses with permitting and transfers of business licenses as a result of new ventures, expansions, and special regulatory mergers and acquisitions. He defends clients in regulatory enforcement actions as well as state and federal investigations of alcohol industry members.

Additional experience includes administrative litigation, alcohol licensing zoning due diligence, land use and zoning analysis and approval processes, and contractual negotiations and related issues including regulatory compliance guidance in real estate transactions, retail, hospitality, tobacco products, and firearms and safety.
