Career
Riza is among the very few lawyers who have an educational background in accounting, tax, and law. Riza's work includes cross-border trade issues, exports and imports, customs, supply chains, manufacturing, logistics, transportation, anti-dumping, free trade agreements, and other international corporate commercial work, including high-profile mergers and acquisitions.
He has extensive experience dealing with government authorities such as the Ministry of Trade, the Customs Office, and the Indonesian Investment Coordinating Board (Badan Koordinasi Penanaman Modal, or BKPM).
Riza is a highly experienced and well-trained tax court litigator and is admitted to the Tax Court of Indonesia as a registered customs attorney. Riza handles customs & excise-related matters and customs litigation cases on a regular basis.
One of Riza’s achievements is his appointment as Head of the Permanent Committee on ASEAN Economic Community and International Matters by the Indonesian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (Kamar Dagang dan Industri Indonesia, or KADIN) until 2021.
