Industry Sector Expertise

Rita has extensive experience in three key areas of family law:

• Financial divorce settlements, especially HNW

Known for her “Rolls-Royce”, Rita is known for her pragmatic and strategic approach to separation and divorce financial settlements. Her terrier-like tenacity for full disclosure combines with an holistic approach to create comprehensive financial agreements that both parties can agree on.

• Separation involving SEN children

Separating parents with SEN children face multiple challenges in ensuring the continued welfare, care and financial provision of their child with Special Educational Needs. This includes significant long-term planning into adulthood, the recognition of the role of the primary carer parent, and the vital importance of a properly adapted family home. For more details see Rita’s series of YouTube videos on this subject (link).

• Post-separation abuse

Rita’s years of experience in domestic abuse and coercive control cases led to a landmark case involving the former wife of a major celebrity. Rita’s article on this issues has thousands of hits, leading to ex-partners approaching her for advice and representation on this often misunderstood and underestimated issue.
