Richard is an experienced criminal advocate, who maintains both strong defence and prosecution practices. He is instructed across the breadth of the criminal law, including high profile homicides, sexual offences and fraud. Recent instructions have included both led and leading work in complex multi-handed matters.

He is known for his meticulous preparation and persuasive advocacy to judiciary and juries alike.

Richard is the Head of the Crime team at 4KBW, has appeared for the defence in high profile cases including murder, and is on the RASSO list.

Richard accepts instructions for both publicly funded and private clients in the Crown Court and private clients in the Magistrates’ Court.
