Richard’s practice revolves around trademark, unfair competition, and design law, as well as copyright and cyber law. His personal focus is on contentious matters, in particular on all types of litigation and anti-piracy matters.
His practice focuses on contentious work and litigation, as well as advising clients on strategic issues. This includes, in particular, the enforcement of trade mark and design rights, as well as trade dress protection and anti-counterfeiting. Unfair competition matters of all kinds are another important pillar of his practice. He particularly enjoys complex litigation, also on an international level.
Richard works for renowned national and international companies and brand owners, many of whom he has been working with for several years. The foundation of his work with clients is mutual trust and a shared goal of making the best decisions in any situation to achieve the optimal outcome for the client. He sees himself as the client's partner, assisting them in navigating complex situations to achieve the best results efficiently and effectively, both legally and commercially.

He has authored many publications on trade mark and on unfair competition law as well as on procedural issues, which have been published in the leading German and international legal IP journals.
