Career

Renaud LE SQUEREN is a founding partner of Trego Legal and has been a member of the Luxembourg Bar since 2002. He has more than 20 years’ experience in Luxembourg corporate, commercial, real estate and digital law. He previously practised at several established Luxembourg law firms before establishing Trego Legal in 2026.

Renaud advises clients on real estate and construction matters, including acquisitions and disposals, financing, structuring, M&A and related contentious matters. He also has extensive experience in corporate, commercial and digital law, including technology transactions, data protection and regulatory matters. He is particularly active on cross-border transactions and complex projects involving corporate, financing and real estate considerations.

Renaud is recognised in leading international directories (Chambers, Legal 500, IFLR1000) and regularly speaks and publishes on corporate law, governance, data protection, digitalisation and real estate topics. He is Vice‑President of the APDL (Association for Data Protection in Luxembourg) and a member of MSI Global Alliance.

Work Highlights

Work Highlight 1 – Passbolt (capital raise)

Advised Passbolt, a Luxembourg-based provider of secure, collaborative password‑management solutions, on an EUR 8 million capital raise. The transaction was led by Airbridge Equity Partners, with participation from Expon Capital (via the Digital Tech Fund), ScaleFund, Seeder, Dedicated, Bondi Capital, Carricha Capital and LBAN. The financing is intended to accelerate Passbolt’s development and strengthen its position in the global market for secure access management, used by more than 40,000 organisations worldwide.

Work Highlight 2 – Luxcaddy (sale to new shareholder)

Advised the founders of Luxcaddy, a leading Luxembourg grocery‑delivery platform with around 50,000 customers and approximately EUR 8 million in annual revenue, on the sale of the company to a new shareholder. The transaction involved the transfer of control from the founding shareholders to the incoming investor and supported the continued development of the platform, which carries out around 65,000 deliveries per year and employs approximately 30 people.

Work Highlight 3 – Cascade Lab / Digital Tech Fund (seed funding)

Advised Digital Tech Fund, a joint public–private seed fund managed by Expon Capital, on its EUR 1 million seed investment in Cascade Lab, a Luxembourg fintech/regtech company providing administrative, compliance and governance solutions for entities subject to AML/KYC requirements. The transaction supported the development of Cascade Lab’s regulatory‑technology platform and its expansion in the Luxembourg market.
