Raphael Annasohn

Raphael Annasohn is an M&A / private equity partner (since 2020) who also specializes in the fields of venture capital and start-ups with a broad and international VC client base (such as True Ventures, G Squared, Coatue, Iris Ventures etc.).

Most recently, Raphael had the lead and co-lead in several keynote deals in Switzerland (e.g., advising DPE on its acquisition of the international IMPAG Group, advising the shareholders on the sale of NSPM to Cactus, advising Coatue on its investment in legal tech firm DeepJudge, advising CVC in connection with two investments from Partners Group in Breitling, the acquisition of FOUR-FOREST Group by international and Jacobs Holding - backed private school group Cognita, assisting Wüest Partner on three buy-side transactions in 2023, advising the shareholders of cybersecurity firm terreActive on the sale to Swiss Post and advising CVC in connection with two investments in Acronis) and was able to significantly expand the client base by acquiring new (strategic and financial investors) clients for the firm (e.g., Linden Capital partners in connection with the acquisition of Giotto Compliance Software by Linden’s portfolio company RQM+, GRO Capital in connection with their investment in Akselos, world market leader in the field of vitaminized fruit gums and food supplements Amapharm in connection with the acquisition of F. Hunziker + Co and Clayton, Dubilier & Rice in connection with the USD 7 billion take-private acquisition of Focus Financial Partners). Raphael has consistently demonstrated extensive experience in both international and domestic M&A transactions across various industries. This breadth of experience proves a deep understanding of the complexities in M&A deals. Raphael has received recognition from various legal publications and directories such as Legal 500, Chambers, WWL and Leaders Leagues and was repeatedly praised by clients and peers for his work ethics, accuracy, negotiation skills and clear advice which highlight his standing in the legal community.
