Pooja Mahajan is the Managing Partner of Chandhiok & Mahajan, Advocates & Solicitors. Pooja leads the firm's Restructuring & Insolvency practice group which includes advising clients on restructuring, both within and outside the Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code, 2016. Pooja represents both creditors and debtors in insolvency proceedings and routinely advises resolution professionals and liquidators of a number of companies. She also actively advices on investment in distressed assets.

Pooja is an active member of INSOL and the International Bar Association and a part of the IWIRC (International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation) Asia leadership group. She was also the Council Co-Chair at ASSOCHAM National Council for Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code and Valuation.

Career
Pooja represents both creditors and debtors in insolvency proceedings and routinely advises resolution professionals and liquidators of a number of companies. She also actively advices on investment in distressed assets. Pooja routinely appears and argues before Indian bankruptcy tribunals such as the NCLT and NCLAT as well as the Supreme Court of India in various insolvency and liquidation proceedings.
Personal
She is actively involved in IBBI’s efforts for skill-building insolvency professionals and has taken multiple lectures and seminars for law students and insolvency professionals organised by Universities, IBBI and the Insolvency Professional Agencies.
Before joining C&M, Pooja was a partner in the Corporate Practice Group of Amarchand & Mangaldas Suresh A. Shroff & Co. She started her career at the chambers of Late Mr. Arun Jaitley and is a graduate from the University of Delhi, with first class honours and a post-graduate with distinction from the University of Oxford.
