She works with clients ranging from multinational corporations to emerging businesses and start-ups across diverse industries.

Pilar is an active member of several leading intellectual property organizations, including ASIPI's Committee on Traditional Knowledge, Genetic Resources and Traditional Cultural Expressions (TCEs), INTA's Indigenous Rights Committee, and the Honor Tribunal of CAMPI.

Pilar has secured favorable outcomes in numerous trademark opposition and appeal proceedings, including cases resulting in the recognition of the notoriety and fame of trademarks by the relevant authorities. Her practice also stands out for experience securing registration of non-traditional trademarks, including sound marks, three-dimensional marks, trade dress, and certification marks, as well as appellations of origin for national products.
