Pietro Palandri

Pietro Palandri specializes in shipping and transport law. He gained extensive experience in handling marine incidents and casualties including salvage and collisions, acting for owners and their insurers. He has been instructed by shipowners, insurance companies, and P&I Clubs to deal with the major casualties in the last years.

He also acts as trusted advisor on non-contentious issues. He also deals with all aspects of transportation regulation.

In the last years, Pietro has been involved in major casualties such as the “COSTA CONCORDIA”, the “JOLLY NERO” and the “NORMAN ATLANTIC”.

His professional experience extends to sale and purchase of ships and yachts, ship and yacht building contracts, ship financing, ship recycling, yacht refit, and marine insurance.

Pietro also advises clients in transport related regulatory matters such as EU, UN and US Sanction programs.

He assists clients in domestic and foreign arbitration and judicial proceedings. He also acts as an arbitrator. He has acted as an expert witness on matters of Italian law in foreign judicial and arbitration proceedings.
