Peter Hammerich

Peter Hammerich has been a partner and head of BAHR’s Asset Management & Private Equity practice group since 2005, currently consisting of 25 + lawyers specializing in asset management. Since 2022 Peter is also chair of BAHR.

Peter advises leading Norwegian and international asset managers, including fund managers within all alternative asset classes (such as private equity, venture, infrastructure, debt and real estate), financial institutions, investment banks, insurance companies, pension funds, and sovereign wealth funds. He is frequently instructed on compliance, fundraising, human capital, ESG/sustainability, M&A, tax and regulatory matters for all types of asset managers, as well as disputes involving asset managers. He is recognised in independent ratings as one of the leading Nordic advisors in these fields.

Peter is an active participant in regulatory discussions and policy matters affecting the Norwegian asset management industry, and frequent speaker at seminars. He is chairman of the Norwegian Alternative Investment Association and chairman of several of the leading asset managers in Norway.
