Career

Lawyer with 30 years of experience, always practising in the field of Criminal Law, especially economic and corruption-related, he has intervened and continues to intervene in criminal cases of all kinds, including the most relevant that have been processed in Spain in the last 30 years, either as a prosecutor (private and popular), or as a defence, in all instances and in all types of proceedings.

He is Associate Professor of Criminal Law at the Faculty of Law of the Universidad Carlos III since 2011 and Professor of Criminal Law and Criminal Procedural Law in different Masters of Access to the Practice of Law (Universidad Carlos III, ICADE, Universidad Cisneros), as well as regular speaker in courses taught at the School of Legal Practice of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (Diploma of High Specialisation in Economic Criminal Law, Special Course in Internal Investigations and Forensic).

Between 1996 and 2013, he was also a member of the Public Defence and Legal Aid Service for Detainees in the Autonomous Community of Madrid.

Publications

He is co-author of the Código Penal comentado of Editorial La Ley, since its first edition, one of the most sold and used in Spain.
