Omar Al-Rasheed started his career at Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld LLP (in affiliation with Dr. AbdulAziz Al-Fahad) from 1999-2006, acting as counsel to various multinational entities (including ExxonMobil, Halliburton, Bechtel, Ford, Merck, Mars). Whilst at the Firm, Omar also advised and provided strategic counsel to relevant authorities in Saudi Arabia regarding its proposed accession to the World Trade Organization (“WTO”), which was successfully completed and approved by the General Council of the WTO in 2005.

Subsequently, Akin Gump withdrew from Saudi Arabia, and Omar recruited several members of its team to form an independent Saudi Arabian law firm, with offices in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dubai.

Omar is a Fifth degree black belt, with 38 years of experience as a competitor, coach, judge and referee fully licensed by the World Karate Federation. Throughout his career as a professional athlete, Omar has been appointed as the head of various different committees locally, regionally and internationally dealing with disputes and legal compliance issues.

Omar Al-Rasheed was appointed as an Executive Consultant in the special unit in the Royal Court in charge of the Saudi Government Presidency of the G20 to create and lead the legal team and was an active member of various different committees internally and externally representing the Saudi government Presidency of the G20.

Since founding the Firm in 2006, Omar Al-Rasheed has guided the practice to become a prominent provider of professional consulting and legal services.
