After more than three decades litigating, arbitrating and mediating complex business disputes, Mr. Eiseman established Eiseman ADR LLC to serve as a full-time independent neutral. Over the years he specialized in representing real estate developers, owners, lenders, construction managers, contractors, subcontractors, sureties, design professionals, manufacturers, insureds and insurance carriers.
Mr. Eiseman serves on multiple Mediation and Arbitration Panels of the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”), including its Construction Arbitration and Mediation Master Panels. He is also an Arbitrator and Mediator for the International Centre for Dispute Resolution. Mr. Eiseman trains newly admitted arbitrators for the AAA and several times, he has taught an intensive five-day AAA mediator training program.
He is a former President and current Fellow of the College of Commercial Arbitrators, an invitation-only fellowship of nationally and internationally recognized commercial arbitrators. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a Member of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals.
Mr. Eiseman is a 2025 Best Lawyer in Construction Law, Arbitration, and Mediation. Super Lawyers named Neal as one of the “Top 100 Lawyers” across-the-board for the New York Metropolitan Area in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025. In 2017, Best Lawyers selected Neal as the “Lawyer of the Year” in New York City for “Litigation-Construction Law.”
As an Adjunct Professor at Cardozo School of Law, Mr. Eiseman taught a course on Construction Law. He also served as an Adjunct Professor at New York University where, for more than 25 years, he taught masters-level courses in construction, real estate law, negotiation, and dispute resolution. In 2015, Neal received NYU’s School of Professional Studies “Award for Outstanding Service.”
Mr. Eiseman writes extensively about construction and commercial issues for various legal publications. Neal is a co-editor of the highly regarded College of Commercial Arbitrator's "Guide to Best Practices in Commerical Arbitration," 5th Edition, Juris Publishing Co. (2025). In August 2021, he co-authored an article appearing in the ABA Section of Litigation's journal, Litigation, on "Debunking Misperceptions: The Upsides of Commercial Arbitration." In 2020, at the beginning of the COVID1-9 pandemic, his article,"Can a Commercial Arbitrator Demand a Virtual Hearing?", appeared in The National Law Journal.
