Naomi is a Senior Associate at Fladgate with over 8 years’ experience assisting clients with their commercial and insurance disputes.
Naomi specialises in dispute resolution with a particular focus on insurance and reinsurance, where she advises clients on coverage issues and policy wordings, whether in active disputes with insurers or on an advisory basis.
On the insurance side, Naomi has extensive experience representing policyholders in claims against insurers and providing coverage advice across all classes of insurance. Her experience includes liability (spanning professional liability/error and omissions (E&O)), public and product liability) directors and officers (D&O), political risks, business interruption (BI), property, and warranty and indemnity (W&I) insurance.
She has a keen interest in political risks and recent involvement handling complex coverage disputes concerning expropriation and political violence incidents.
In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic and FCA Test case, Naomi regularly advised clients on business interruption matters and continues to advise on BI issues following the various post-Test case decisions on coverage.
As part of the dispute resolution team, Naomi acts on both the claimant and defendant side in a broad range of commercial disputes, including mis-selling, professional negligence, breach of contract, warranty claims, breach of director’s duties and unfair prejudice claims.
Her clients include tech companies, property developers, public bodies, professional service providers, engineering firms and suppliers of goods and services. She frequently acts for clients in the financial services sector, including fund managers, investment funds, international banks and independent financial advisors.
Naomi also has experience with complex group litigation and securing litigation funding for clients.
