Morten’s background is in financial, regulatory and company law. He assists both Norwegian and foreign financial institutions, investment banks, start-ups and emerging companies in relation to transactional and regulatory work. He is an expert on financial services regulatory matters and has considerable experience on alternative credit structures such as tailored securitisation. Morten’s FinTech practice is characterised by his work assisting both start-ups (e.g. PayPal and Klarna) and incumbents (e.g. Mastercard and Apple) entering the Norwegian market, particularly in the payments space and in relation to digital currencies. He also advises widely on the implications of PSD2 and other EU directives relevant to the FinTech industry.
